Backing Up Your Data on AccountEdge Hosted Cloud Desktops

Your cloud desktop is backed up by our hosting provider Apps4Rent daily. However this back up is used for disaster recovery and not intended for restoring single files/data when needed. You are still responsible for backing up your AccountEdge data as well as any other data that is stored in your cloud desktop.

Just as you can do from a locally installed version of AccountEdge, we recommend that you connect your cloud desktop to a Dropbox account and back up your company file and related AccountEdge data to your Dropbox account.

Alternatively, you can backup through AccountEdge directly to your Apps4rent hosted desktop or document folder. After the backup is complete, please make sure you're copying and pasting that AccountEdge backup.zip to your local machine. For direct access to your local machine, you can also connect a local directory/folder through your Microsoft Remote Connection/Desktop software in order to copy files, including your company file, to your local PC or Mac as a backup.

For more information on backing up your company file within AccountEdge, please use the FAQ below.
