Print Checks: Bank Account and Routing Numbers

AccountEdge does not print bank (ABA) Routing Numbers or Account Numbers in Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR), on checks.

It's possible for users to customize a check to do this, but user-supplied fonts and Magnetic Ink would be required to print the routing, account and check numbers at the bottom of the check. If the ABA Routing and Account Numbers are not printed in MICR, a bank may charge a service charge for processing the check. Customers should check with their bank for details before attempting to print such checks.

The American Bankers Association (ABA) routing number is a 9–digit number assigned to financial institutions by The American Bankers Association (ABA) to identify the financial institution upon which a payment was drawn. Routing numbers are sometimes referred to as "check routing numbers," "ABA numbers," or "routing transit numbers" (RTN). Routing numbers may differ depending on where your account was opened and the type of transaction made.
