AccountEdge Windows Network Edition; Unable to connect to host

Error - Unable to Connect to Server 

Possible Solutions:

1.  Make sure there are no firewalls blocking any connection in the Workstation that’s having an issue connecting to the host. If there is a firewall, it needs to have an exception for File Connect. If this is happening on the host, same steps apply.

2.  Perform a reinstall on the Host machine (reinstall NE & File Connect). Here’s a link to the reinstall FAQ 

3.  Perform a reinstall on the Workstation that has the issue connecting (error above)

 

Error – This version of AccountEdge NE Requires FileConnect 27.0.11

Possible Solutions:

1.  Make sure there are no firewalls blocking any connection in the Workstation that’s having an issue connecting to the host. If there is a firewall, it needs to have an exception for File Connect.

2.  Reinstall FileConnect only on the host machine. Here’s a link for instructions on reinstalling FileConnect

3.  Reinstall AccountEdge NE on the workstation which ran into the error above. If this is happening on the Host machine, perform step #2 first, then reinstall NE & FileConnect if the error persists.
