Apple sunsetting of Rosetta in macOS 28

AccountEdge currently uses a 64-bit Crossover shell that is compatible with both Intel and Apple silicon Macs. While Intel-based Macs run the application natively, Apple silicon models (M1–M3+) currently require Rosetta for compatibility.

Apple has announced plans to phase out Rosetta around macOS 28, which is still over a year away. By that time, CodeWeavers, our technology partner expects to release a native Apple silicon version of Crossover that will no longer rely on Rosetta.

In the meantime, AccountEdge is expected to remain fully compatible through at least macOS 27, and we are actively working with our partners on a long-term solution to ensure continued compatibility on future macOS versions.
