Save & Sync Custom Forms Across All Clients

Custom forms saved on one machine automatically sync to all other workstations connected to the File-Connect server. No manual copying required.

 

Enabling This Feature

Go to:

SetupPreferencesReports & FormsSync Custom Forms Across All Clients [System-wide]

Tick the checkbox and click OK.

 

How It Works

When you open AccountEdge NE:

Your custom forms are sent to the File-Connect host machine. Any forms updated by other workstations are automatically pulled down to yours before the forms list loads.

 

When you save a custom form:

The updated form is immediately synced to the File-Connect host and becomes available to all other clients the next time they load their forms list.

 

Requirements

The AccountEdge File-Connect must be running and accessible on the network

A company data file must be open for sync to occur

The preference must be enabled on all workstations (System-wide setting)

 

📝 Note: If two users edit the same custom form at the same time, the last person to save will overwrite the other's changes. To avoid this, coordinate with your team before editing shared custom forms.

Close and reopen the forms customization list to trigger a fresh sync from the host
